The Englandskrigen were a series of conflicts between the United Kingdom and Denmark. The first war began in 1807 and lasted until 1814. The second war began in 1815 and lasted until 1816.

Second Battle of Copenhagen

The Second Battle of Copenhagen, also known as the Bombardment of Copenhagen, took place from August 16 to September 7, 1807. The British bombarded the Danish capital in an attempt to prevent Denmark from joining Napoleon's Continental System. The bombardment resulted in the destruction of the Danish fleet and the surrender of the city.

Battle of Copenhagen

The Battle of Copenhagen took place on August 15-September 7, 1807. It was a naval battle between the British and Danish fleets. The British victory resulted in the capture of the Danish fleet and the surrender of the city.

Danegeld

In 912, King Edward the Elder began a series of campaigns to conquer the Danelaw, a Danish territory in England. Edward's forces advanced relentlessly, and by 954, he had conquered all of the Danelaw. The Danes were forced to pay a tribute, known as the Danegeld, to the English king.
